Privacy Policy

VITAL ("VITAL", "we", "us") is an accountability app where small squads of friends commit to a daily habit, prove they showed up, and get ranked together. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. We keep it short on purpose.
What we collect
- Account & profile — your name, email (or Apple/Google sign-in identifier), the goals you set, and your chosen morning time.
- Squad activity — the squads you join, your invite codes, your proofs, streaks, leaderboard standing, and messages you send in squad chat.
- Proof you submit — the photos, screenshots, or voice notes you capture to prove a habit. You choose when to submit each one.
- Limited device data — basic diagnostics and crash information needed to keep the app working.
How we use it
- To run the core product: verify your proof, compute streaks and rankings, and show your activity to your squad.
- To power Athena, our AI coach. Proof images and the text you send Athena are processed by our AI provider (OpenAI) to verify proof and generate coaching. They are not used to train third-party models.
- To send you the reminders and squad notifications you opt into.
Who can see your data
Your proofs and squad activity are visible only to members of the squads you join. Proofs you mark private show your squad a badge, not the image. We do not sell your data, and we never post on your behalf.
Third parties we rely on
- Supabase — secure storage and database for your account and content.
- OpenAI — AI verification of proofs and Athena coaching.
- RevenueCat & the Apple App Store — to manage subscriptions. We never see your card details.
Your controls
- Delete everything — Profile → Delete account removes your account, proofs, and history. Gone means gone.
- AI consent — you can withdraw consent for Athena to use your data at any time in Settings.
- Blocking — you can block any user so they can't see you or join your squads.
Children
VITAL is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
